A sustainability strategy based on protecting the environment, promoting diversity and inclusion

Protecting the ecosystem, raising awareness of the importance of caring for it and working to integrate people into society and the work environment marked the 2023 sustainability strategy. To contribute to its goal of reducing its carbon footprint by 30% in 2023, the company continued to mobilize its more than 900 associates in Spain through the #LikeMyPlanet program. As part of this initiative, Cofidis continued to promote the “Respira Vida” project in response to the promise of planting a tree for every loan contracted. In 2023, the forest exceeded the target of 100,000 planted units and reached more than 150,000 trees, covering an area of ​​52 hectares, the equivalent of 72 football fields, and representing a reduction of 6,252 tons of CO2.

A commitment to inclusion and diversity led the company to formalize its alliance with REDI, the Business Network Association for LGBTI Diversity and Inclusion. In addition, Cofidis has a standing committee that ensures an environment free of discrimination for any reason and supports positive inclusion initiatives.

In 2023, Cofidis consolidated its Future Makers program, a program through which internal volunteering is encouraged and which enables the knowledge of the various people in the team to serve the community, thereby becoming agents of change and social development. .

For the 11th consecutive year, Cofidis has renewed its contract with the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC) and continues to be one of the main sponsors of “La Vuelta”. The company also has the oldest cycling team in the International Cycling Union squad and one of the few to have a professional women’s section and another for athletes with disabilities.

The support of Paralympic sports is one of the main axes of the company’s social strategy, which has maintained a sponsorship commitment with the Spanish Paralympic team since 2011.
