Dateline March 2, 2013 – Eugene, Oregon: The Leader of an anti-gun organization believes “anyone who buys a gun is mentally ill.” At a rally held by Ceasefire Oregon, David “Brazin’” Hazen, the Leader of the Eugene Chapter of the International Cities of Peace, goes on to advocate funding for “Universal Conflict Resolution Skill Support” as an alternative to firearms training. Mr. Hazen further advocates that “it should be a requirement for students at all levels, people incarcerated, applicants for the purchase of a gun, as well as every public employee and candidate for office be required to demonstrate their competency in conflict resolution“. The “church-lady lookalike concludes his talk by expounding his belief that the NRA might support the whole plan. No this piece is not from the Onion.
