I love Producing as an avenue for creative story telling. As a producer I’m used to working on the gritty details of a project; developing timelines, budgets, organizing logistics. And I thrive on a tight schedule and a high-pressure set. But my main passion as a producer is to be able to foster the story from development to distribution. I love watching the whole story take on a life of its own and helping it impact the audiences it was designed to speak to.

During my undergrad years I experimented with a number of projects, from working with borrowed cam-quarters, to organizing large crews for Epicenter Pictures projects. Some of my work can be seen on my vimeo page here.

As I begin grad-school at the Academy of Arts in the Spring of 2013, I look forward to developing from an enthusiastic amateur who produces for the love of producing, into a polished professional who is experienced in making media projects a valuable addition addition to the creative and commercial marketplace.

March 2012 – Present (11 months)

While I’ve been acting for the past 10 years or so, my journey with nxt|MODEL began in March of 2012.

I consider my self an actor first – a living storyteller striving to develop an honest empathy so that I can embody an honest story from any perspective. My modeling is an extension of that love of story telling. Sometimes the story is simple; a marketing story about the local shoe-sale. Sometimes it is complex; a young girl wrestling with all that is life. But in either case, whether in a photographic moment or a cinematic string of moments, my goal is to make the story come alive.

Epicenter Pictures is a visionary film production company that utilizes a unique approach to youth development. This is accomplished by harnessing the fascination of today’s youth with movies to train and equip young leaders, and also to support organizations working internationally on youth development issues.

I am a professional recruiter with Transamerica. The position has empowered my film career with financial stability, flexible hours and valuable business mentoring and networks as I continue to develop my media projects as marketable products. The position is also continually improving my presentation skills and my understanding of marketing. Both of these benefit me as a producer seeking to ever refine and hone my pitch abilities and results.

Duties include: Seeking out new associates, conducting interviews, assisting with training, continuing education in financial markets and business trends.

Transamerica is dedicated to working with individuals and families to enable them to reach their financial goals. Specializing in child development, elementary music education, language arts/public speaking and test preparation, I bring my professional experience and my love of empowering students to bear in order to help my students realize their full potential.

July 2010 – September 2010 (3 months)

In charge of rolling calls, reading/covering scripts, and helping with research for their documentary “Cool It” during the post-production phase of development.

2005 – 2010 (5 years)

10X Productions is a non-profit film/media production company. Its primary purpose is to develop and produce mass-media visual communication tools for the purpose of exposing a wide audience to the spiritual stories of the varied peoples of the world.

Duties include: script writing, development & revision of publicity materials, fund raising, post-production editing, networking. Films: “The Enemy God” (2008) Nominated for 11 awards.

2006 – 2009 (3 years)

Independently contract to write fictional and op-ed pieces for this youth magazine.

2001 – 2009 (8 years)

Shakespeare on the Lawn was founded to promote general literacy among elementary, middle and high school students through fostering a love of great literature. All plays were performed in the original Shakespearean English and were tailored to be engaging and entertaining for young and old alike. All cast members were student volunteers.

Positions Held:

Assistant Director: Much Ado About Nothing(2005), Taming of the Shrew (2006).

Roles: Hermia in Midsummer Night’s Dream(2001), Portia in Merchant of Venice(2002), Olivia in Twelfth Night(2004).

Media Liaison for Merchant of Venice.

Ensemble Coach for Twelfth Night (2004) and Taming of the Shrew (2008).

Sound Designer for Les Miserables (2009)

Performances benefited local youth development organizations and the Colorado Springs Public Library

2007 – 2007 (less than a year)

AFG is an independent Christian film production and distribution group specifically aimed at serving a faith-based market and training students in the craft and practicality of filmmaking.

Duties included: Designing documentary-style scripts, organizing and shooting those scripts, managing a small staff, acting as a production assistant when needed on set

2003 – 2007 (4 years)

The speech tournament accepts participants from the rocky mountain region ages 5-12 to encourage young children to develop public speaking skills in a fun, healthy competitive environment.

Duties included: Developing standards, publicity, administration
and oversight, recruiting and training staff, authorizing tournament results
