A PRIVATE school in Newcastle has been evacuated after an 11-year-old girl brought a hand grenade for “show and tell”.

Students from the Hunter Christian School at Mayfield have been evacuated to a nearby park while specialist police and ADF examine the grenade which police say resembles a World War II “pineapple model.

Iran claims it has captured another U.S. drone in its airspace over the Persian Gulf.

“The U.S. drone, which was conducting a reconnaissance flight and gathering data over the Persian Gulf in the past few days, was captured by the Guard’s navy air defense unit as soon as it entered Iranian airspace. Such drones usually take off from large warships,” said Gen. Ali Fadavi, navy chief of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.

Arizona Medical Marijuana Law Is Constitutional, County Judge Finds; Dispensaries On Way

Maricopa County can’t block a medical-marijuana dispensary from opening just because of a federal prohibition on marijuana, a county judge has ruled.

This is a big court ruling for the 2010 Arizona Medical Marijuana Act, and the one on which would-be operators of dispensaries have been waiting.

The decision by Superior Court Judge Michael Gordon is a green light for dispensaries to open. It’s also a resounding approval of voters’ wishes.

Breaking Confirmed- Egypt: Morsi Flees As Angry Crowd Storms Cairo Palace in Clash With Riot Police

Egyptian riot police have fired tear gas at protesters demonstrating against President Mohamed Morsi near the presidential palace in Cairo. At least 18 people have been injured in violent clashes.

Presidential sources say Morsi left the palace as the crowd started getting out of control.

Protesters broke through police lines and barbed wire barricades in front of the presidential palace, with riot police responding with tear gas.

To avoid further confrontation police forces then reportedly retreated, allowing the demonstrators to move closer to the palace.

Thousands of demonstrators marched to the palace in protest of Morsi’s decree which grants him near absolute powers, and a draft constitution which was quickly adopted by his allies.
